 Lipofilling or the planimetric plasticity of person’s own fat is a plastic operation from cosmetic surgery area for correction of cosmetic defects in appearance. With the help of lipofilling it is possible both to correct the body form as a whole, and to correct lines of cheeks, cheekbones, lips, and also to smooth the under-nose folds which are going deep with the years. Lipofilling is also sometimes presented under other names – fat graphing, changes of a fatty tissues (own), and also endoscopic surgery.
Lipofilling is one of the safest plastic operations as it uses the own fatty tissues of the patient excludes complication or detach of the replaced tissues after operation. For this reason this technique is often used for plastic correction of a face contour. Besides the absence of side-effects, carrying out doesn't remain neither scars after operation nor other appreciable signs of the performed operation.
Thus «a donor zone» from which the fatty tissues are withdrawn, are usually hips, stomach or buttock area, in other words those areas of a body where sometimes even more fatty tissues are than it would be desirable.
For preparation for performing lipofilling it is necessary to pass medical examination about presence of virus and other diseases. At least for two weeks before carrying out of surgical intervention it is necessary to exclude reception of medical products which reduce coagulability of blood. First of all, it is popular cough remedies and aspirin. One day prior to operation it is necessary to reduce as much as possible quantity of consumed food, and it is a must to refuse completely from food and water in day of operation. It will allow accelerating healing subsequently.
Lipofilling is performed either under the general, or under a local narcosis depending on the area of a corrected site and a wish of the patient.
Operation is performed to three stages. On the first one the fatty tissues necessary for change are taken from the area of hips, stomach or buttocks. The tissues fence is made through microcuts in a skin. The second stage consists of clearing of the withdrawn fatty tissues of blood fractions, chemical means if required (especially at reception of medical products). The third stage is actually injecting of the cleared fatty tissues in the areas demanding for correction.
The fatty tissues in the course of carrying out lipofilling are placed under the skin, under a mucous membrane, or into intermuscular space. After some hours after the operation the patient can already come back home, only with a protective plaster on correction area.
More often the cosmetic surgeons, who perform the lipofilling operation, use enough considerable quantity of fatty tissues for correction. It is caused by low degree of survival rate of cells on a new place – about a quarter from them perishes through any time. Therefore the full to estimate results of lipofilling are visible only after some days.
