Otoplastics is the correction of unduly acting auricles.
Age: change of the form of ears can be performed starting from 6 years old.
Contra-indications to oroplastics: infringements of coagulability of blood, a diabetes.
Anesthesia:
- Local anesthesia for adults and children of advanced age;
- The general anesthesia for children of younger age.
Change of the form of ears following is carried out in the image: a plasticity of a cartilage of an auricle and cutting surplus skin in area behind an ear. The hem which was formed after plastic operation on change of the form of ears, remains in a fold behind the ear, so nobody can notice it.
Duration of a plasticity of ears: 0,5 – 1 hour.
Seams are taken away in 7-10 days after operation on change of the form of ears.
Painful sensations: moderated during the first day after operation.
Postoperative safety measures:
- It is forbidden to wash head in 2 weeks after operation;
- An elastic bandage is a must for all day and night throughout 5-7 days after operation and for the night within 3-4 weeks.
